Visit to the United States of America - Nov 2023
Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong made a working visit to San Francisco, California, United States of America from 13 to 18 November 2023, and attended the 30th Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Economic Leaders’ Meeting (AELM) at the invitation of US President Joseph R. Biden Jr.
The APEC Leaders discussed ways to strengthen trade, increase supply chain resilience, tackle climate change and ensure an equitable and inclusive future. PM Lee also met Peruvian President Dina Boluarte on the sidelines of the AELM.
In addition to the APEC-related programme, PM Lee participated in a dialogue organised by the Council on Foreign Relations, and met Governor of California Gavin Newsom and business leaders from prominent US companies. PM Lee also launched Enterprise Singapore’s San Francisco Overseas Centre and met Singaporeans residing in the San Francisco Bay Area.
