Visit by Sri Lankan President Ranil Wickremesinghe - Aug 2023

President of Sri Lanka Ranil Wickremesinghe met Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong at the Istana on 22 August while he was on a Working Visit to Singapore.

PM Lee and President Wickremesinghe discussed ways to further strengthen and expand bilateral cooperation, including in trade and food security. They also exchanged views on regional and global developments. President Wickremesinghe provided an update on developments in Sri Lanka. Following their meeting, PM Lee and President Wickremesinghe jointly witnessed the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on carbon credits collaboration under Article 6 of the Paris Agreement.
