Official Visit by PM Lee Hsien Loong to New Delhi, India, 25 to 26 January 2018
Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong will attend the ASEAN-India Commemorative Summit in New Delhi, India from 25 to 26 January 2018.
Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong will attend the ASEAN-India Commemorative Summit in New Delhi, India from 25 to 26 January 2018. Under the theme “Shared Values, Common Destiny”, the ASEAN-India Commemorative Summit will celebrate the 25th anniversary of ASEAN-India dialogue relations.
As ASEAN Chair for 2018, PM Lee will co-chair the Commemorative Summit with Indian PM Narendra Modi. The Leaders will discuss the wide-ranging cooperation under ASEAN-India relations and exchange views on regional and international issues. They will also take stock of ASEAN-India relations and discuss ways to deepen the relationship. PM Lee and other ASEAN Leaders have also been invited to attend India’s 69th Republic Day Parade on 26 January 2018 as Chief Guests.
PM Lee will be accompanied by Mrs Lee, Minister for Foreign Affairs Dr Vivian Balakrishnan and officials from the Prime Minister’s Office and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
During PM Lee’s absence, Deputy Prime Minister and Co-ordinating Minister for National Security Teo Chee Hean will be Acting Prime Minister.
