MM Lee Kuan Yew to Visit China and Japan (13 - 22 May 2010)
Minister Mentor Lee Kuan Yew will visit China from 13 to 18 May 2010, and Japan from 18 to 22 May 2010.
Minister Mentor Lee Kuan Yew is making an official visit to China (Shanghai and Beijing) from 13-18 May 2010, and visiting Japan from 18-22 May 2010 to attend the 16th International Conference on “The Future of Asia” organised by the Nihon Keizai Shimbun (Nikkei).
In Shanghai, he will officiate the opening of the Singapore Pavilion at the Shanghai World Expo. He will also meet with Minister of the Organisation Department of the CPC Central Committee Li Yuanchao and hold a dialogue session ("Better City, Better Life: The Nanyang Connection") at the China Executive Leadership Academy of Pudong. In Beijing, Mr Lee will meet Vice Premier Li Keqiang and launch the Global Chinese Dictionary together with former Chairman of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference Li Ruihuan. In Tokyo, he will attend the Nikkei Conference and meet Japanese political and business leaders.
