MFA Press Statement: Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Federation Council of the Russian Federation HE Mikhail Margelov Calls on PM Lee Hsien Loong

The Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Federation Council of the Russian Federation, His Excellency Mikhail Margelov, called on Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong this afternoon. His Excellency Margelov is visiting Singapore as a panelist at the 12th International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS) Shangri-La Dialogue (SLD).

During their meeting, Prime Minister Lee and His Excellency Margelov reaffirmed the warm and friendly relations between Singapore and the Russian Federation, and discussed opportunities for further collaboration between both countries. They also had a good discussion on regional and global developments.

Aside from calling on Prime Minister Lee, His Excellency Margelov was also hosted to lunch by Speaker of Parliament Mdm Halimah Yacob, and called on Senior Minister of State for Defence Chan Chun Sing on the sidelines of SLD.
