Condolence Message from Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong to His Excellency Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Prime Minister of the Republic of Turkey

Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong has conveyed a letter to His Excellency Mr Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Prime Minister of the Republic of Turkey to express his condolences following the tragic coal mine explosion in western Turkey on 13 May 2014. The text of the letter is appended below.

Dear Prime Minister Erdoğan

         I was deeply saddened to learn of the tragic coal mine accident in Soma, Manisa.

        On behalf of the Government and people of Singapore, I offer my deepest condolences to you, the families of the victims and the people of Turkey.  Our thoughts are with you and the people of Turkey during this difficult time.
