SM Tharman Shanmugaratnam to visit Madrid, Oslo and Paris, 23 to 28 May

Senior Minister and Coordinating Minister for Social Policies, Tharman Shanmugaratnam, will be visiting Europe over 23-28 May for bilateral and international meetings.

Senior Minister Tharman will be in Madrid, Spain, from 23 to 25 May for a plenary meeting of the Group of Thirty, which he chairs, and for bilateral discussions within the Spanish government.

From 26 to 27 May, Senior Minister Tharman will visit Oslo, Norway, for meetings with several ministers and the Norwegian central bank governor, and visit Skills Norway and other agencies working on life-long learning and skills development.

On 28 May, Senior Minister Tharman will be in Paris, France for a meeting of the Advisory Board of UN’s 2019 Human Development Report, which he co-chairs¹. The report, to be released in the last quarter of 2019, aims to address the challenges of inclusive growth and social development in a new era.
