SM Tharman Shanmugaratnam to visit the US and Germany (Nov 2022)

Senior Minister and Coordinating Minister for Social Policies Tharman Shanmugaratnam will make a working visit to New York in the US and Germany from 30 November to 11 December 2022.

In New York, SM Tharman will chair a Group of Thirty plenary meeting. He will also meet with financial sector leaders and senior foreign representatives based in the United Nations.

SM Tharman will co-chair the Global Commission on the Economics of Water in Potsdam, Germany. He will also lead a SkillsFuture delegation in visits to leading institutions and businesses engaged in matching industry demand with adult skills training. While in Munich and Berlin he will also meet with business leaders.

SM Tharman will be accompanied by officials from the Prime Minister’s Office, the Ministry of Education, the Monetary Authority of Singapore, and the Public Utilities Board.
