Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong was the guest-of-honour at the May Day Rally 2011 which also marked the 50th Anniversary of the National Trades Union Congress (NTUC).
Some 8,500 people comprising union leaders and members past and present, key personnel of the NTUC Social Enterprises, staff of NTUC and representatives of the tripartite partners, filled up the Singapore Indoor Stadium to commemorate this momentous occasion on 1 May 2011.
