Visit to Kenya - May 2023

Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong made an Official Visit to Kenya from 17 to 19 May 2023. He met Kenyan President William Samoei Ruto on 18 May at the State House in Nairobi, Kenya.

PM Lee and President Ruto discussed ways to support growing trade and investment between both countries, and welcomed the expansion of bilateral cooperation to include climate change, information and communications technology (ICT), and human resource development. Both leaders also touched on geopolitical developments and bilateral cooperation at multilateral fora on issues, such as climate change and sustainable development.

Both leaders also witnessed the signing of three Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs) on Carbon Credits, ICT, and Skills Development, and held a joint press conference. PM Lee was hosted to lunch by President Ruto, and met with business leaders from Kenya.
