Visit to Armenia - Sep-Oct 2019
Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong was in Yerevan, Armenia from 28 September to 1 October 2019 on an Official Visit at the invitation of Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.
In addition to meeting Prime Minister Pashinyan, who hosted an Official Lunch, Prime Minister Lee met with President Armen Sarkissian, Chairman of the National Assembly Ararat Mirzoyan, and Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos His Holiness Karekin II.
Prime Minister Lee also witnessed the signing of parts of a free trade agreement between Singapore and the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), and attended a session of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council at the invitation of Prime Minister Pashinyan.
Prime Minister Lee also had several bilateral meetings on the sidelines at the request of his counterparts, and met with President of the Republic of Moldova Igor Dodon, President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, and President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Hassan Rouhani.
Prime Minister Lee was accompanied by Mrs Lee, Senior Minister Tharman Shanmugaratnam, Senior Minister of State, Ministry of Trade and Industry Dr Koh Poh Koon, and officials from the Prime Minister’s Office, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Trade and Industry, the Ministry of Communications and Information and the Attorney-General’s Chambers.
